Janina Asiedu, our founder who was born and raised in Aotearoa New Zealand is a Queer Ghanaian herbalist, ancestral medium, artist and curator of shared space.
Janina was led down the pathway of plant medicine through the encouragement of their great grandmother, Mame Mintah . They have received mentorship from Rongoā Practitioner Joanne Hakaraia, participating in her Rongoā Mauri course in 2022 and Maurikura course in 2024.
Over the years they have facilitated workshops in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland) and Naarm (Melbourne) for Queer, Indigenous, Black and Brown community. Janina's envisions sharing and furthering their practice in Africa and within the diaspora.
Janina's practice extends to 'Nyame Dua' where they offer Tarot Divination, Ancestral readings and spiritual services such as space cleansing, libation ceremony and herbal spiritual baths. For all spiritual service enquires please email [email protected]
