'Sango' Waistbeads

Waistbeads are a West African form of adornment + beauty. They have been used as a puberty rite of passage and to invoke certain energies within the womb space - our creative wellspring. You do not have to have a physical womb to purchase Afi's waistbeads. These beads are for all .

PLEASE NOTE :
Adornment and ritual products are named and inspired by various deities, Abosom, Orisa, Neteru, forces of Nature. They may or may not aid you in your own personal relationship with these forces of Nature.

All adornments are blessed with herbal oils, charged in Nature and prayed over, made specifically with each individual in mind. No beading arrangement is the same (images are examples of previous beads made). Our waistbeads are made from seed or glass bead laced onto elastic string. Each set of beads will arrive with a handwritten channeled letter specific to your journey. All beads are made to be worn for a certain amount of time. We suggest leaving the beads on until they break. Once beads break (which they are guaranteed to) this means the 'work' of your beads is complete. We suggest thanking them for aiding you, discard of seed/glass beads by burying them in the Earth and recycling elastic string.

One string of beads wraps around the waist once, two strings wraps around twice etc.

Upon ordering give 1-2 weeks for beads to be made. We are a slow business and make to order.

Sango is the Yoruba (Nigerian) Orisa of justice, divine contracts and war. They are a fierce fighter and are within the wind, lightning, storms, tornadoes and rain.

Aiding in:
- Restoring and deepening authentic love, passion and trust towards self and within commitments, connections and relationships
- Balancing and harnessing sexual energy, expression and confidence
- Grounding and connecting to and clearing blocks within root energy centre
- Releasing frustration, anger, rage, trauma (particularly sexual or physical)
- Reclaiming Self/Ancestral sovereignty and justice (especially where injustice has been served)
- General Ancestral Protection
